Black. Black is still very much trending in kitchen island design. It looks fabulous on its own but equally compliments many colours and surfaces. Geometric rules. The hexagonal tiles in this splashback might appear too busy in an otherwise visually crowded space. Here it works to create interest and offset the expanse of white cabinetry overhead. Brushed metal linear handles in the lower cabinets link back to the tiles, as well as the VJ panelling elsewhere in the surrounding kitchen space.
